Sierra Nevada is taking over our taps on Thursday, August 7, as part of their Beer Camp Across America tour! Sierra Nevada has collaborated with 12 of some of the most revered breweries in the country to make a mixed 12-pack in celebration of the opening of their North Carolina brewery.

River Rat Brewery Charleston Launch Party! 05/15/14
We are hosting the official Charleston launch party for River Rat Brewery, a brand new brewery located in Columbia, SC. We are proud supporters of local beers and brewers, and are super excited to have River Rat brews in the house!

BEERS ON TAP:
River Rat Broad River Red Ale – 5.3% A beer to be enjoyed by all. English malts and Santanum hops provide full flavor to this medium bodied red ale. A mild hop character makes this our beer of choice on a hot sunny day.
River Rat Double IPA – 8.5% A high alcohol, robust pale ale dripping with hop flavor and aroma. English malts and hops are used to create a truly unique double IPA. Hop character is floral and slightly spicy, backed up by a rich malt profile. Not for the faint of heart.
River Rat Hazelnut Brown Ale – 5.4% A traditional mild brown ale brewed with English malts, hops, and fresh Hazelnuts. Malty and nutty with a mild hop presence makes this Brown ale approachable for novice beer drinkers, but can satisfy those who like a malty dark ale.
River Rat Moncks Corner Abbey Ale – 7.2% A full-bodied Belgian style Dubbel, brewed with french malts and french hops. Belgian candy sugar and Trappist yeast are used to provide a wonderful dried fruit aroma and a complex malt palate.

Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Stone Brewing Beer Dinner
We are thrilled to host San Diego Craft Brewery Stone Brewing Company for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival. The night is going to be absolutely amazing. Steve Wagner, Co-Founder, President, and Brewmaster, will be our guest speaker in attendance! Anderson Valley Tap Takeover! 11/26/13
Next Tuesday, November 26th Anderson Valley Brewing Company is taking over our taps!
We will have some tasty standard AV brews but some of these beers on tap RARELY make it this far east!
Todd Hamrick from AV will be here hanging out and answering any questions anyone might have.
Here are the beers…
- Rosy Barl (Sour Ale, 5.4% ABV) This unique beer was created by aging our Mowkeef Saison for 14 months in local Chardonnay “barls” with fresh raspberries and our proprietary wild Horse Tongue Wheat culture. It has soft aromas of raspberry and dried fruits, a refreshingly tart finish, and a “rosy” glow.
- Horse Tongue Wheat (Biere de Guarde, 5.3% ABV) – This Belgian-style wheat beer has been aged in white wine barrels, allowing it to become just slightly piquant sour. This is a wonderful session beer for those of the “sour and funky” persuasion.
- Highway 128 Hoppy Pale Ale (4.5%) – HWY 128 is a light session beer, pale in color and low in alcohol, yet hoppy and full flavored, and easy to drink.
- Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout (6.9%) – Complexity. Aged for three monthsin Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. Our exclusive partnership with Wild Turkey® gives Anderson Valley a world class, consistent source of barrelage, allowing our brewers to explore new frontiers in barrel-aged craft beer.
Winter Solstice (6.9%) – Warmth. Our Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale is a hand-crafted “winter warmer” with a deep amber hue and a rich, malty mouthfeel. Hints of toffee,spice, and caramel tickle the senses while thesmooth, creamy finish will lift your spirits; a perfectbeer to share with friends and family during thecold days and long nights of winter.
Hop Ottin’ IPA (7%) – Hops. They are the cornerstone of India Pale Ales around the world,and our Hop Ottin’ IPA is no exception. Handcrafted with copious amounts of Columbus and Cascade, this beer is a showcase of bright citrusy aromas, bold grapefruit and pine-like flavors, and the resiny bitterness that hop heads crave. With a brilliant, deep amber color and solid malt backbone, hints of citron, roses, and bergamotclimax with a dry, herbal finish in this well balanced interpretation of a West Coast IPA.
